The puppet theatre Rise Loutek (Empire of puppets) was founded on 26th September 1920 in Prague and moved after some time into the building of Prague Municipal Library in the centre of Prague. On 20th May 1929 the UNIMA (International Puppeteers Union) was founded in this theatre. They are continuously playing for children for more than 80 years. In August 2002 the theatre was hit by the big flood which destroyed almost everything inside the building. The refurbishing of the building was finished in February 2003; now extended by an air conditioning system by Menerga.
